First, confirm if you qualify for visa exemption (save time & money!):

  • 30-day unilateral visa-free: UK, Canada (Feb 17-Dec 31, 2026)
  • 30-day visa-free: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, etc. (48 countries total)
  • 240-hour (10-day) transit visa-free: 54 countries, for transit to third country (If you are a 240-hour visa-free transit passenger, feel free to contact us. We also have some tips to help you enter China without a visa and at the lowest possible cost.)

If you don't qualify for visa-free, proceed to apply for L-Visa.


📋 Step 2: Prepare Required Documents (Simplified List)

💻 Step 3: Online Application Submission (2026 Mandatory)

  1. Go to visaforchina.cn → Select your region 
  2. Fill form truthfully (no mistakes!)—include:
    • Personal info (name, DOB, passport details)
    • Travel dates, destinations, accommodation
    • Previous China visits (if any)

  3. Upload documents (passport scan, photo, itinerary)
  4. Submit & wait for preliminary approval (1-2 working days)
  5. Print: Application Form, Confirmation Page, Visa Application Certificate

📍 Step 4: Submit Application In-Person


Once online approved, visit:
  • China Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) (most common)
  • Chinese Embassy/Consulate (your jurisdiction)

In-Person Steps:

  2. Biometrics: Fingerprints (14-70 years old; exemptions: under 14/over 70, diplomatic passports, 5-year recent visa holders) 中国签证中心
